Mission Impossible – Ghost Protocol

Mission Impossible - Ghost ProtocolCast: Tom Cruise, Jeremy Renner, Paula Patton

Director: Brad Bird

Rating: ***1/2

A bright, whirling, action-movie toy, the J.J. Abrams-produced ?Mission: Impossible ? Ghost Protocol? is certainly entertaining, although lacking suspense and surprise. Watching one of the film?s trademark stunts, I thought to myself, ?Tom Cruise, you have some explaining to do to Bruce Willis.?

Ethan Hunt (Cruise) and his team of IMF agents are back ? minus Luther Stickell (Ving Rhames) for the most part, but with Brit tech whiz Benji Dunn (Simon Pegg, who?s worth his weight in sidekick gold) still aboard ? this time directed by Brad Bird of Pixar fame in his first-ever live-action outing.

What Bird brings to the table is the genius Pixar touch: He turns Ethan and his fellow agents into a variation of the superhero family of ?The Incredibles.?

New to the team are warrior princess Jane Carter (alarmingly gorgeous Paula Patton, ?Precious?) and seeming desk jockey William Brandt (Jeremy Renner, ?The Town?).

Blamed for a 9/11-like bombing of the Kremlin, the team members are disavowed by the U.S. president, who evokes ?Ghost Protocol.? (I know, what?) The truth is the IMF team is on the trail of Swedish madman Hendricks (Michael Nyqvist of the great Swedish trilogy ?Girl with the Dragon Tattoo?), who is intent on starting a nuclear world war using Russian missiles.

This time around, Renner is the one who leaps from a high perch only to stop midair ? inches before fatally crashing. Cruise, for his part, scales the world?s tallest building with nothing more than a pair of not-very-reliable, computerized suction gloves (like I said, paging Elastigirl).

What Bird and the screenwriting team of Josh Appelbaum and Andre Nemec don?t get is that just photographing Cruise standing at an open window near the top of the 2,217-foot-high Burj Khalifa building in Dubai is sufficient to amaze and terrify the audience.

The rest of the stuff is extraneous and familiar. The best bit in the film is a truly amazing, high-tech illusion the IMF team pulls off in the Kremlin.

If you want to watch the film for it being shot in India, and for Anil Kapoor, you’ll be sorely disappointed. Only two minutes of actual India make it to the film.

The other shots thought to be filmed in the country, have actually been shot in Indian localities of North America. Kapoor barely has a few minutes’ role as a lecherous business tycoon. It’s not enough either for his fans or his detractors.

These ?Mission: Impossible? films, which kicked off in 1996, have been Cruise?s attempt to create a James Bond-like franchise for himself, and while Cruise has succeeded at the box office, the films have been hit-and-miss, and Ethan Hunt is no James Bond.

Still, this ?M:I? is a lot of fun. No one?s going to pretend this film is deep or meaningful but, at its best, it really is pretty awesome.

Jo hum Chahein

Jo hum ChaheinCast: Sunny Gill, Simran Mundi, Alyy Khan, Achint Kaur

Director: Pawan Gill

Stars: *1/2

With a stunning looking debut pair (Sunny Gill and Simran Mundi), and high production values, this one’s a pretty film. But that’s about it, more or less.

Rohan (Gill) is looking at making quick bucks, so soon after his MBA he opts to become a stockbroker, while his idealist dad wants him to join the Armed Forces.

Rohan is super confident to the point of cockiness and he is waylaid by a superior (Alyy Khan) and a rich client (Achint Kaur).

Running parallel to this is his love story with Neha (Simran Mundi), who breaks up with him when he gets too entangled in his professional commitments.

What could have been an interesting premise (though seems heavily borrowed from Hollywood film, Wallstreet), ends up being a below average caper, thanks to the lack of deftness in Pawan Gill’s direction.

Even while the movie is moving at a snail’s pace, the actors for some reason seem to be in a race to finish their dialogues.

Gill puts in a good effort and might be promising with a better director; Simran is nothing beyond being pretty. Most dialogues and some lyrics of the film presumably in an attempt to be clever, end up being plain silly.

Just to give you two shining examples, right in the middle of an intense scene, Neha tells her boyfriend, ‘Hum dono ek doosre ke fireworks hai Rohan’, And the lyrics that actually goes, ‘Peepdi bajaaye dil, dham dham jaye speaker hil’

To its credit, one or two scenes in the film, especially in the second half, do manage to get you involved (largely thanks to Achint Kaur’s performance) and at some point you feel concerned about Rohan’s fate, who is endearing in his own awkward way.

If you are an incurable romantic, it won’t hurt you to watch this one once. It would be like going on a date with a beautiful but not so bright girl, just for the heck of it.

How is Empower Network A Funded Proposal?

Empower Network: The Ultimate Funded Proposal

Empower Network is the ultimate funded proposal and solves two of the most common problems all internet marketers face at some time in their career:  the ability to generate income while building their primary opportunity, and finding quality prospects for their business. In order to really understand the magnitude of what Empower Network can do for your business let’s take a look at the concept of the funded proposal.

What Is a Funded Proposal?

1. Offers a low priced product on the front end providing a consistent stream of income to fund business overhead      expenses such as advertising, training, and other marketing needs.

2. Generate Leads

3. Builds social proof by creating stories with the reps that follow your system.

With a funded proposal it’s easy to qualify leads, as a person who invests in the product you’re offering on the front end is far more willing to consider your primary opportunity once they come to know and trust you as a leader who can show them how to get results quickly.

Depending on your network and level of influence, if you were to ask someone to joining your primary opportunity for $300 and above, more than likely they would tell you “no” without batting an eye. The reasons why will vary, and at the surface level it’s nothing personal. However behind that “no”, what’s really being said is that they are not confident enough in you as a leader because you have not achieved any results worthy of them making the investment.

Using the Empower Network system as a funded proposal helps you achieve more yes answers by giving you a story. When you come into Empower Network for $25, your first sale pays for the system causing you to break even. Any income earned after that (whether you upgrade to the Inner Circle or Costa Rica Intensive) puts you in profit mode.

Imagine the impact of not only generating your own results, but showing others who may have never earned money in their MLM opportunity how to do the same? Not only will you be creating cash flow for yourself but you have just established yourself as a leader. That’s powerful.  And because Empower Network comes complete with all the tools you’ll need to market the system your time and resources can be focused on activities that will provide the most return on your investment such as bringing more people into the system and funneling them into your primary opportunity.

1.The basic membership cost just $25 giving you a low end product to market to your list and new prospects

2.One sale breaks even. Two sales (excluding the passup) put you in profit mode.

3.The moment you do the same for your reps, you’ve given yourself some credibility as a leader.

To top it all off, Empower Network pays you 100% commission for each membership you sell making it easy to generate massive amounts of money in no time.

So What are you waiting for? There is nothing left to do but join!

Happy Holidays- Don’t Lose Your Network Marketing Professionalism

The problem with family and friends  are  we believe we can skip all the sales training of how to talk to them as they are so close to us, if ever sales training would apply, it would be with your family.

Here They are:

1. Listen. Family members are going to talk about their problems (mainly) and it is your chance to simply lend an ear and be present with them. Don’t think of when to sneak the sales pitch in, but, just listen.

2. Note the different things going on in each family members life and call them the next week just to see if they are open to looking at what you are doing. Show that you cared enough to listen and they may just listen to you. Do NOT be addicted to the outcome.  Ask for a referral.

3. When asked about your network marketing business or what you do, don’t go into a sales pitch that ends with “you should look into it”, talk about what you and your team are doing and the stories of some people in the team that have been impacted and then roll the questions back to them and ask them about themselves.

4. Be present don’t just think about who you think you are going to sign up. Times are tough for a lot of industries right now and the holidays can really bring out the depression in people especially if they have experienced an occupational change this past year. Be present, listen and love them even if you don’t always agree with them.

If you found value in this post share with your friends.

Happy Holidays.
